Alexis Phifer is a Los Angeles based designer, who acquired her passion for design at a young age.  She received her degree in fashion design from famed Los Angeles design school, FIDM.  While she honed her technical skills in school,
 
Alexis’s true inspiration comes from a different source.  Her passion stems from a vision to create a garment that can make women feel alive.  Thus "Ghita" was created, a collection consisting of unique and special one of kind pieces that leave a lasting impression.  This is the genuine inspiration behind Ghita’s ethereal silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, and rich colors.  Every piece in the collection pays tribute to a women’s body in the most delicate and unassuming way. 
 
According to Alexis, clothing should make women feel beautiful, whatever their definition of beauty may be, and that is what she strives to achieve through her designs.
